Marcus Sendlinger could be more discreet though when it comes to his secret love for bikes and engines – evidence is all over the artist’s drawings, paintings, and installations.
Even his cap is part of a limited edition of one of his works, and might we add that it looks just as great with jeans, T-Shirt and sandals as it does in the gallery. “Totally sleep-deprived” was the artist when we met him in Mitte with his son, two daughters and lots of scoops of ice cream. “I was partying in King Size Bar last night. A gallery owner hosts an ‘Artist Night’ there every Wednesday”, Marcus says. “I was home at 3 in the morning, at least that’s the official version.” We see. Well, kids are never considerate of problems like that anyway. Quite the contrary they talked all at once telling us that the palm trees on dad’s arm was their favorite tattoo because each tree represents one member of the family. And there was more information to be passed on. Vincent: “I play soccer!” Robin: “And I play the piano!” Rosa-Lee: “And I have a guinea pig!”
As a stylish dad I can’t live without …? Car Favorite spot with kids? In the swimming pool of Monbijou Park Favorite spot without kids? On the corner Weinmeisterstraße in Mitte.
